Detailed Description	Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association is a leading not-for-profit organisation supporting people with a disability in Queensland. Our mission is to enhance the lives of people with a disability through community engagement and education, sport and healthy activity. Our Association is currently seeking a Gym Services Officer to coordinate and deliver our fitness and rehabilitation service for our members. A brief outline of roles and responsibilities for the position is as follows: Gym floor supervision, exercise prescription and implementation to high risk population Overall responsibility for the personal training Schedule Recruiting, training (initial and ongoing), managing and mentoring of Gym Supervisors and overall responsibility of their duties and responsibilities (as detailed in their position descriptions). Training will include designing appropriate “in house” training programs, as well as coordinating external training as required Supporting the Gym Coordinator in their primary responsibilities as required We are seeking applicants with demonstrated experience in fitness and rehabilitation, preferably in a coordination role, who can work effectively within a team environment as well as individually. Applicants must possess highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and well developed administration skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite. Essential is a degree in Human Movements Studies, Exercise Science or similar qualification and eligible for accreditation with the associated professional body. This is a full time position, consisting of a 38 hour week basis with flexible working hours. The position will require at times weekend and evening work.
