Prue Sinclair: Prac Student
I’m Prue Sinclair and I am a third year Human Movement student from QUT. In two weeks I am finished university and am off overseas for a while to pursue my crazy childhood dreams of dive instructing, teaching English and working in a zoo in Borneo. I enjoy the rehabilitation side of my degree as well as the personal contact with clients. In my future I see the outdoors, the tropics, laughter, and health… Time will no doubt tell.

Matt Jewell

If you see a new face in the gym, who is either eating or obviously not accustomed to being up and about at 6 in the morning, chances are it is me. I’m Matt, the work experience kid! I am currently studying Bachelor of Science, Human Movement at QUT, and am interested in the fitness industry, particularly strength and conditioning.
I completed my Certificate 3 in Fitness back in 2006, and decided I would like to understand the science of the human body how it works, so took up full time study. Last year I had to study resistance training as a subject at uni, and realised that is where my main passion lies. I now hope to make it in the industry as a strength and conditioning coach of a professional sports team, while achieving my own lifting goals.
I currently work at an ice-cream shop on Brisbane's northside, and find it frustrating having to serve people who probably shouldn't be having ice-cream. So doing my prac at Fitnance, it is a welcome change to be with like-minded people, doing work that I am passionate about.
If you see me around the place, need someone to talk about TV or the footy, need a spot, or someone to share some food with, stop and say Hi! I’m pretty friendly despite being half asleep.

Dan Gardner Profile

Greetings. My name is Daniel Gardner but most people know me as Danny or Dan. I am a 24yr old QUT student studying a Human Movements degree. I have a background in fitness having completed a Certificate 3, 4 and Diploma of Fitness which has allowed me to work in gym settings and with sporting teams. I love helping people set and achieve their fitness goals, whether it be losing weight, gaining muscle and strength or just feeling fitter and better about themselves.
I am a sports fanatic, having played many sports thru high school. I competed for Queensland in track and field in 400m and 400m hurdles, making the Australian development camps and holding regional and state records. More recently, I have played soccer in the QLD state league and the Brisbane Premier leagues and support Birmingham in the English Premier League.
