Iron Underground Brisbane is a dedicated strength gym which produces elite natural powerlifting athletes and superior body recompostions for bodybuilding competitors.
Experience Required:
At least several years of serious barbell / free weight training is preferable. Having had worked in the fitness industry prior is also preferable. As is already having a client base. As mentioned attitude is a big factor in selecting a candidate however.


Qualifications Required:
Certificate IV in fitness & Insurance
First Aid certificate

Well done to Holly Humrich who competed in the State Athletics Championships! Holly has been training really hard up to this Championship and is recognized for it! GREAT WORK HOLLY! 
















A huge congratulations to Michael Finch and Michaela Murray who also came 2nd in the Tre-X off road Triathlon series. Both Michael and Michaela worked very hard for this achievement and should be proud.  








Well done to Ryan Wilson who competed in the Grafton to Inverell road race that took place on Saturday the 26th of October. The Grafton to Inverell cycle classic is a 228km road race conducted on a point to point course between the towns of Grafton and Inverell in northern New South Wales. The 2013 event is the 53rd edition of a race that has enjoyed a long and successful history. WELL DONE RYAN!


Congratulations to Peter Garrone, Steven Leitch and a big congratulations to Jamie Stanley who not only competed in the UQ Crit Club Race, but came 1st. Jamie has been training hard and has proven it has paid off. 












Well done to Georgie Harwood, Christophe Manchon, John, Dave Kalinowki, Kylie Fletcher,  Tia Nation, Perry Nation, Jay Lucht for competing in Burleigh Swim. Hope all went well and had a lot of fun!

Australia's Diamonds have finished the netball season with a 64-37 win over Malawi!

Congratulations to Nat Medhurst and the team for the fantastic win over Malawi, all girls trained and played hard to accomplish this crazy win! GOOD JOB GIRLS!














Well done to Sue Metcalfe for coming 4th in The American Strongman Competition. She has been training hard and it has obviously paid off. Great Work Sue! 





Congratulations to all contestants who entered and participated in the Southbank to Surfers 100km Bike Ride! Gary Smith, Tom Essebeier, Steve Lacey and one of our own trainees Miche George have all participated!

The Bribie island triathlon was also held on the 19th-20th of October, Michaela Murray and Jess Schaffer did exceptionally well. Michaela with a time of 01:06:38 and Jess Schaffer getting a time of 01:16:42. 
WELL DONE AND GREAT EFFORT TO THESE TWO GIRLS!








Congratulations to the Ironman 70.3 Athletes which was held over the weekend on the 20th of October. Joanne Speers, Kevin Tanner and Nicky Crane all completed this hard series. 

Joanne Speers getting a time of 05:59:39, Kevin Tanner getting a time of 05:36:15 and Nicky Crane getting a time of 07:35:05.
Well done to all contestants that participated in this hard series!

















Well done to Daryl Crook and Drew Williams for completing the Bernie 10km run that was held in Tasmania on the 20th of October. Daryl Crook placing 11th with a time of 0:31:02 89 and Drew Williams placing 9th with a time of 0:32:36 13.

Expressions of Interest Sought (Melbourne)

12 month contract for Registration and Education Officer

We would like to hear from Registered Certificate IV in Fitness qualified exercise professionals who understand the fitness industry, have demonstrated experience in either sales, communication or education, and would be interested in joining the Physical Activity Australia team.

You would need to be computer savvy with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel proficiency a must, Salesforce (CRM) and Wordpress a bonus, have a pleasant outgoing personality and a professional attitude. You will need very strong writing skills and an excellent telephone manner. Your role would consist of working with the community, students, registrants, RTOs, Universities and fitness businesses to promote Physical Activity Australia.

The role is for 20 hrs per week (4 days at 5 hours), or we may split the role into a job share.
