About the Opportunity

Volleyball Queensland are AFL SportsReady are looking for a keen, enthusiastic young person to join their sports administration / event management team in January 2013. In this position, you will be legally employed by AFL SportsReady for a 12 month duration and undertake a trainee ship with an accredited Certificate III Business qualification.

Working for our Host Employer; Volleyball Queensland in Milton, the successful trainee will receive paid on the job training and education. Reporting to the Manager at Volleyball Queensland the primary purpose of this role will be to provide well-developed administrative skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of administrative contexts.

Duties & Responsibilities       

• Communicate with colleagues and customers        
• Assist with event organisation        
• Priorities multiple tasks to meet time lines         
• Reception tasks       
• Organised resources, equipment and timelines       
• Data entry and storage of records  

Skills & Experience        

• Reliable and honest with a friendly personality to service customer needs    
• Willing attitude and great work ethic        
• Intermediate computer skills       
• Good communication skills         
• Able to work well within a team        
• Attention to detail       
• Show independence and initiative       
• Ability to problem-solve      
• Well organised and have a commitment to complete the trainee ship  
• Must be an Australian Citizen
